TEHRAN -- Iranian composer and kamancheh virtuoso Sohrab Purnazeri performed a selection of Kurdish songs from his “Nishtman” album at the Forde Traditional and World Music Festival in Norway on July 7.

“Nishtman”, which means homeland in Kurdish, contains a collection of Kurdish folk lyrics and music that have been collected and composed by Purnazeri.

Percussionists Aiin Meshkatian and Hossein Zahavi, santur player Mahyar Tarihi and vocalist Donya Kamali accompanied Purnazeri in the performance at the festival, which will run until July 10.
